Two sound therapists and a terrace in the forest above Lamai. Can has played handpan since 2016. Melie trained at Shantika Academy and runs House of Holistic.

What is a sound journey?
Our name for a sound bath. You lie on a mat, close your eyes, and we play handpan, gong, and Tibetan and crystal bowls live around you for 75 minutes. Nothing to learn, nothing to say.
Do I need any experience or background?
No. Nothing is asked of you beyond lying down. Never been near a gong or a handpan before is the usual starting point here.
Where is it, and how do I find it?
A covered open-air terrace in Lamai, five minutes inland from the beach. Park at the bottom and take the stairs up, following the music. We send a short video for finding it once you book.
How much does it cost?
The weekly sound journey is ฿600 a mat, and handpan listening is ฿500 a person. A private sound journey on the terrace starts at ฿3,000 for two, and a handpan demo lesson is ฿2,000. Every price is on the Experiences and Learn pages.
What should I wear and bring?
Loose clothes you can lie down in, and a light layer, because an hour of stillness leaves you cooler than you expect. The mats are here.
What happens if it rains?
Sessions go ahead. The terrace has a roof, so the only difference is the rain on it, which is no bad thing to lie under.
How do I book, and how far ahead?
Pick a session and a time on our booking page. A mat at the Wednesday or Sunday session is yours as soon as you book. Private sessions and lessons are a request, and we confirm them on WhatsApp within a few hours. A day or two ahead is normally enough, though there are only eight mats. Give us a week for high season and private evenings.
Can I leave in the middle?
Yes, whenever you like. Stand up and go, with no explanation needed. Sitting up on your mat is fine too, if lying down stops being comfortable.
