The D Kurd 9 is the handpan to start on. Nine notes are laid out around the D centre, so you find your way in your first session. It is the classic first scale for online courses, workshops and new players, and the one to choose if you have no experience yet. The layout is easy to learn and every note sits well with the others.

Sound and build

Stainless steel gives a warm, resonant sound and a good balance of rich tones and easy playability, whether you play alone or with other musicians. The D centre note, the ding, adds depth to the whole handpan. Every note is tuned against a tuner at the workshop, and Can tests the series himself.
